Information

A variation on the balanced spiral weave of belt, the double balanced construction consists of pairs of interconnected right and left-handed spirals. The connectors are crimped on the more open meshes and straight pins on the tighter mesh specifications or where high operating temperatures are being used.

This construction provides greater strength and smaller openings than the comparable balanced spiral specifications, and it is suitable for ambient, medium and high temperature processing applications.

These belts can be manufactured in a wide range of materials including a large variety of Nickel Chrome alloys.

Edges are generally knuckled or welded and side-plates and cross flights can be added if required.

These belts are recommended for applications where heavy loads are conveyed at high temperatures such as in annealing, brazing or carburizing furnaces.

Variations

Difference between Balanced spiral (BS-) and Double Balanced Spiral (DB-)

BSW: Alternating single left and right hand spirals connected with a crimped wire.

DBW: Double alternating left and right hand spirals connected with a crimped wire.
